We are in the Bahamas

Here are some pictures--you know those scenes you see in ads of the blue blue water--well it really is that blue.
We had a smooth trip over and lovely weather since we have been here.   We have met some nice boaters and tonight there is a dinner organized by a couple from Newfoundland.  There are a number of boats anchored here from New Bern.
From here we plan to do a bunch of anchoring out.  Our internet access will be limited.  I'll bring the blog up to date when I get to the next wifi place.
We had a grand tour of a very interesting place.  You might want to googol it.  It is the dolphin house in bimini.

The builder was quite an interesting fellow.  The island is small (7 miles).  We will be on much bigger ones.  But the people are very friendly and the views are wonderful.  We will feel a bit sad to leave.  Many more cays to see.  By the way, how many of you remember Adam Clayton Powell?  That was the first thing I thought of when I heard the word Bimini.   He was quite a beloved figure here.

So long for now --new adventures await us.

  2. Glad you had a good trip over. Sounds like a little piece of heaven over there. Our place is really quiet since you all left. Nancy & Phil
