Weather Matters

I was talking to my son Craig today.  The windchill was going to be -15 with winds of 40 miles an hour.  Here in Florida there was a 35 mile an hour wind and so we put up our jib and had a nice motor sail.  Strange.  Melbourne is our present stop.  It has a nice old town area.  We passed by some interesting sounding towns like New Smyrna and Titusville--maybe another time we'll stop.  We are getting together with a good friend tomorrow--Nancy DeVos.  Miami is getting closer, our destination for several weeks.    The weather keeps getting warmer.   But it's hard to get in the Christmas spirit.  I have a Christmas card sitting on the ledge to remind us it is December.  I'm sure that when we get to Austin and see the grandchildren that mindset will change.  Next stop--Vero Beach.
